Healthy habits

As well as eating a healthy, balanced diet, including fiber-rich whole grains and fruit and vegetables, there are a number of things you can do to help maintain a healthy digestive system. These include:
  • having regular meals
  • eating slowly and chewing your food properly
  • drinking at least six to eight glasses of fluid a day
  • reducing the amount of stress in your life
  • increasing your physical activity level by taking regular exercise.
