There are no surefire formulas to being a successful suitor, but here are some tips that may speed up the process if there is already the potential for both of you to fall in love.

• Be neat and clean, sweet-smelling and well-groomed. This includes nails, teeth, hair, breath, attire.
• Respect her parents. Ask permission where necessary. Bypassing them may be detrimental.
• Compliment but do not flatter. This is good for her self-esteem.
• Be a gentleman. Observe rules of etiquette and good manners especially on moral issues. Your attitude determines your behavior.
• Be thoughtful. Ladies love surprises!
• Be friends with her friends. They’re the best sources of info.
• If you love her, don’t give up. However, have a timetable.
• Talk to God about your concern. He knows what is best for you.
