Regular, moderate exercise is good for our immune system. It reduces the risk of common infections such as colds and flu. It also helps protect us from several serious diseases, including cardiovascular disease, Type 2 diabetes and some forms of cancer.
The Department of Health recommends a minimum of 30 minutes of at least moderate intensity activity on five days a week or more. You don't have to do 30 minutes at once; three 10-minute sessions will do just as much to help keep your defense system healthy.

I definitely agree that staying active is healthy. It doesn't seem like 30 minutes is much time to spend doing something active, but I often find myself not even doing that. Sometimes, between work and other things in life, we just don't find the time to do something for our own health. But I always try to squeeze in at least a little exercise every day. -Mike
